In unique stage of Human Development

Adolescent Health

They need protection, support, and guidance

Adolescence marks significant transitions in physiological, cognitive, emotional, and social domains, with some youths facing stress that can lead to psychological issues. Many turn to addictions like tobacco, alcohol, and digital substances as a coping mechanism. The Safe School Project takes a holistic approach, addressing physical, behavioral, and mental health across various levels of need, promoting healthy behaviors among students. By spreading awareness and enforcing relevant legislation, the project aims to reduce morbidity and mortality linked to these issues. In India, where adolescent health problems are escalating, the Safe School Project seeks to create a safe school model that fills preventive gaps in school health. The focus will primarily be on combating substance abuse, particularly tobacco and alcohol, to support the achievement of sustainable development goals and enhance adolescent well-being.
